BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP CO. - Big Island
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. captures the charm and spirit that made “Forrest Gump” a smash hit, with down-home décor reminiscent of the movie’s setting in Alabama. It showcases memorabilia and photos from the movie, plus script pages, storyboards and costumes. “Gumpisms” grace the tabletops and diners can try on plaster casts of Forrest’s running shoes at the bus bench out front. Watch body boarders catching waves and view fish cruising to the rhythm of the ocean from the restaurant’s prime oceanfront location. During whale season, diners may even see humpback whales from their table at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. ISLAND BREEZE LUAU
Island Breeze LuauFocusing on Hawai‘i’s heritage, the Island Breeze Lu‘au at King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel offers an evening of royal feasting and authentic island entertainment. The 22-dish lu‘au buffet features entrees ranging from kalua pig to fish to vegetarian dishes. The lu‘au is held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. For reservations, call (808) 326-4969. KIMO'S FAMOUS FAMILY BUFFET
Kimo’s is the place to go for all-you-can-eat buffets at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast with great omelets and eggs-to-order is offered from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monday to Saturday, and from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Sunday. The dinner buffet, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. nightly, offers a full salad bar and American, Asian and local style entrées. Kimo’s also offers a steak and seafood ala carte menu at dinner. You’ll find Kimo’s Famous Family Buffet at Uncle Billy’s Kona Bay Hotel in the Kona Inn Shopping Village. Call (808) 329-1393 for details. $

KIRIN CHINESE RESTAURANT
Located just above Donatoni’s, between the Palace and Ocean Towers at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, Kirin Chinese Restaurant showcases intimate dining with lanai seating, a private room and is decorated with one-of-a kind Chinese artifacts. Kirin’s signature lunch cuisine is Dim Sum–a variety of steamed dumplings and small plates of savory delicacies. The dinner menu features cooking styles from Hunan, Szechuan, Peking, and Canton regions of China. Selections include soups, seafood, chicken and duck, and pork and beef dishes. OCEAN SEAFOOD CHINESE RESTAURANT
Bring your appetite when you dine at this all-you-can-eat buffet featuring authentic Cantonese cuisine. Ocean Seafood offers over 20 items on the lunch buffet from Monday through Friday and a nightly dinner buffet which offers shrimps, mussels and over 20 other items. Ocean Seafood’s buffets are reasonably priced and are a great value for your dining dollar. Ala carte items are also available off the menu as well. PIZZA HUT - Big Island
No room service, got the late-night munchies? Visit or call Pizza Hut at (808) 643-1111 and order hot and fresh pizzas, fresh salads, creamy Alfredo pastas, Buffalo wings and breadsticks for delivery or to carryout. Three Pizza Huts are in the Hilo area: Kawailani, 2200 Kino‘ole St. (carryout and delivery); Kilauea, 326 Kilauea Ave. (dine in, delivery and carryout); and Puainako, 50 Puaniako Ave. (dine in and carryout). Other locations are Kea‘au, 16-550 Old Volcano Rd. (carryout and delivery), and Kona, 74-5620 Palani Rd. (dine in, delivery and carryout). All are open from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

ROYAL JADE GARDEN
The Wong family moved to the Big Island over 37 years ago after first immigrating from mainland China to Hong Kong. Brother and sisters Hon Ming, Irene and Stella are now running the family establishment in the Lanihau Center in Kailua-Kona.
